Introduction
When it becomes necessary to close the campus to normal operations, a number of factors will influence whether all or part of the campus will be affected. These factors include, but are not limited to, the risk of injury or death to people, property damage, and disruption to essential utilities.
The Parking and Transportation Committee is established to serve as a forum for parking and transportation issues. This committee will receive input, evaluate parking and transportation strategies, make recommendations for action to the President, and implement strategies as directed by the President.
The purpose of the Public Safety Committee is being revised to reflect the updated needs of the University.

The Policy on Formation of Centers/Institutes is intended to provide guidelines for the recognition and chartering of centers and institutes. All Centers/Institutes created will complement and support the mission of the University. Academic visitors and distinguished guests from abroad, including delegations from universities and research institutions, may approach Humboldt State University to be a collaborative partner in academic programs. These distinguished visitors should be accorded appropriate courtesy and recognition during their visits; it is essential that there be campus-wide knowledge of these visits and involvement with key offices in the planning of itineraries.

The charge to the Enrollment Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) is to provide oversight for all issues directly affecting the enrollment and retention of students at HSU and to make recommendations to the president, the Academic Senate and the University Executive Committee on ways that we can retain, increase and improve the number and quality of students who enroll at HSU. The EMAC reports to the president.
